The Magnificent Humpback Whale
By Charles Darwin. 15th September 1835
Here is a puzzle for you!
Day one
I just stepped foot on the Galapagos islands and I am already in love with it. I am studying some new wild life and plants. Some of the plants and wild life I have never seen before. I have discovered a new species of baleen whale that I will call a humpback whale because of the humps on it's back. I will study it some more tomorrow. Good night.
Day two
I am back to studying the whale I found yesterday but I have also found some finches that are bigger than the ones in England. | think they have adapted to the climate and what's around them. Lets now get back to the humpback whale. I saw that it was around 12-16 m,(39-52 ft.) I also estimated that it was 25-30 metric tons.
That is it from me for today, goodbye!
