How She Became Famous.

Taylor Swift became interested in singing

at the age of nine. She learned to play the guitar when she was 12.

When she was 14 she moved to Hendersonville, Tennessee and she began to

perform country music while at school. By the age of 16 she left school so that she could

start touring America and concentrate on her music.

She signed a record deal in 2005 when she was 17 years old and started working on her first album straight away.

By June 2006 her first country single was released - "Tim McGraw" which reached Number 40 in the USA.

Her first UK single was "Teardrops on my Guitar" which she wrote herself. This reached number 5 and was also a country song. She had four more country singles released between 2007 and 2008.

In 2009 her 2nd album "Fearless" was the fastest selling album in America and she also won many awards including an MTV award for best female music video.

Music career between 2010 and 2014.

By 2011 Taylor Swift had released her 3rd country album and was still getting lots of music awards.

Her song "We Are Never Getting Back Together" from her next album was released in August 2012. She started touring in March 2013 and this tour lasted until June 2014. Then she started working on her 5th Album which was her first pop album.

2015 -2017

Taylor Swift hasn't recorded any album's in the last few years but has been busy writing songs for other people. Her next album is due out in November 2017.
