The effect of extreme cold on the body is called hypothermia. It occurs when the body loses heat.When your body temperature drops, your heart, nervous system and other organs can't work normally. Hypothermia can lead to complete failure of your heart and breathing and eventually to death.
The symptoms include shivering, weak pulse and confusion.
If someone has hypothermia you should try your best to keep them as warm as possible try giving them warm drinks and covering them with blankets also call for help.
