Once upon a time there was a family of mice collecting nuts for the winter so they would not starve. However, there was one mouse called the lazy mouse who did not help in getting nuts. He just lay in his hammock every day.

The other mice used to yell at him to come and help but he did not even talk so that he could just relax. The lazy mouse loved to tell stories. So when he woke up, he went to his friends. He played, sang and ate some red berries and nuts.

When winter came everyone went in a little house. They had lots of food but they felt miserable. Soon after, the lazy mouse came and said, "Sit down! I will tell you a nice story." And so, they kept on hearing stories and singing merry songs. Finally, it was spring and they played and dance outside in the sunshine.
