Should pupils wear a school uniform?

In this balanced argument,I will be discussing: Whether pupils should wear school uniforms and the disadvantages and the advantages.

To begin with school uniforms help students identify themselves because of the badge they have on there uniforms and students can feel proud going to that type of school.Wearing a uniform can prevent students from getting distracted because they are looking at each other's colourful shirt or another class mates shoes. More importantly, school uniforms can help students from getting bullied because they don't have expensive clothing or designer bags like the pupil that's bullying them.

On the other hand, school uniforms can be very expensive and you will most likely have to buy two because while one is getting cleaned you cannot go to school without a uniform unless they allow it of course. Pupils can also find the uniforms very uncomfortable, too boring and plain to wear everyday.

Many people believe that you should always have a school uniform at every school because you look neat, not messy and clean. Another thing is that you don't have to put together an outfit everyday and I must say it saves a lot of time having an already chosen outfit. All you have to do is throw it on and it also means you can go to school earlier and have a little chat with some classmates before you start the lesson.

However,it is worth mentioning that wearing a uniform does not let students express their style or what they are feeling that day.

In conclusion,I believe,that uniforms are very important to have because first, it keeps a school in line and secondly pupils look very neat and tidy. I also believe that having some days like pink October, Christmas or the last day of school where you get to wear casual are also very important because students get the chance to wear what they are feeling or to express their style! Wearing school uniforms everyday make these one off occasions even more special.
