Happy Half Term

PLEASE TURN THE PAGE

Hi Year 2,

It's been a very different half term hasn't it! Thank you so much for all of your hard work. I have loved looking at all of your photos and examples of learning. I can see that you have had lots of fun as well with our minibeast topic! You have produced some amazing pieces of work. There have also been some other fantastic achievements... some of you have mastered how to ride your bike, to tell the time, to bake and cook from new recipes, you've developed your artistic and gardening talents, den building skills..... these special things have made me smile the most.

Half term is an opportunity for you to catch up on anything that you might not have had chance to do. Please try and keep up with some reading and perhaps practise any of the skills that you have found tricky this half term. Telling the time would be a great one to keep practising as it's such an important life skill...

I have put some other ideas about the sorts of things that you might like to do to over half term but you don't have to as you may have other things planned. Half term is a time for you to recharge your batteries, rest and relax with with your family who have given you so much support and become your teachers for the last half term. I'm pretty sure that they will need a rest! A big thank you to them from me as I know they will have been doing lots of other things too!

Well done year 2 - I am so very proud of each and every one of you.

Miss you lots. Happy Half term! Mrs Mitchell X

Have a look back at the forest school blogs that Miss Miah has posted. There are some lovely ideas of things to do outside.

Why not create a memory scrapbook of the things that you have done at home. Perhaps you could put some of your photos in it, examples of work you have done off the blog, diary entries and memories..........

Is there something that you would really love

to learn about..... space, animals, a famous

person, oceans, a country .....Why not do

your own little project on a topic of completely

your choice?

Design your own game, create a model of

something, do some baking, build a den. Why not look back at our class weekly photo blogs and see if there is something one of your friends has done that you would like to have a go at.....
