Last week, week commencing 13th of November, was Children In Need week! Our school did many wonderful things to support this charity, such as selling Pudsey and Blush merchandise in our School Shop and holding a Bake Sale to raise money. Our House Captains held this event where everyone baked or bought cakes to bring in for the sale and people sold them, earning a profit of approximately £50! The charity Children In Need exists to change the lives of disadvantaged children and young people across the UK. Their vision is that every child in the UK should have a safe, happy, secure childhood and the chance to reach their potential. They are currently supporting around 2,600 projects that are working with children facing a range of disadvantages. These include poverty and deprivation; disabled young people and children who have been the victims of abuse or neglect. Some Pudsey and Blush merchandise that we have sold include glow in the dark wristbands, Pudsey and Blush ears, glow in the dark key rings and badges. This has helped them and our school is proud and happy to have taken part in such a wonderful charity event to help the needy, by raising £1,402.11.
