The food chain is when an animal eats something then another animal eats it then another animal eats it and then it keep on going till no animal eats that animal. When an animal on the food chain disappears all the animals on top will disappear too! When an animal disappears the animal on top won't have anything to eat and the same thing happens to them on top of it and it keeps on going until the top of the food chain and thats how the chain breaks.
