On St Patrick's Day, ten children from St George's school went to Sudbury Neighbourhood Centre. These children played Irish music and some performed Irish dancing. Patrick, the caretaker, and Mrs Monaghan escorted us to the Sudbury Neighbourhood Centre. We travelled on the minibus and when we arrived the staff warmly welcomed us.

To start, the musicians played three songs called Lisnagun Jig, Egan's Polka and Maggie in the Woods. After that, the children did their Irish dancing and then the musicians finished their last three tunes. These ones were called Little Red Fox, Lucy Farr's Barn Dance and finally, Garravane Slide. When we were finished, the staff thanked us by giving us orange juice and a whole box of Roses!

On the way back everyone was so excited because they thought it was 3 o'clock and it was home time, but the clock was wrong! We got back to school and unfortunately still had another lesson but it was fun experience and we all enjoyed it.
