Should Primary Schools have vending machines?
Some children and parents and even teachers believe that having vending machines in a primary school is a good idea. Children would be happy that there were vending machines because their parents wouldn't have to go to the shops and buy everything for their snacks at break time. Also, schools could make sure that nothing in the vending machines would cause allergies so people would not have to worry. The vending machines would not have to contain sugary things; they could have fruit, milk bottles, energy drinks and water instead.
Other people believe that it's a bad idea to put vending machines in schools because the children may bring in too much money and buy a load of sweets. It might not be fair if some children have money for the vending machines and others don't. If you forget your money you may end up going hungry and you will find it hard to concentrate in class. Being hungry can also make you feel grumpy and left out if everyone around you is eating. People may also lose the money they have brought in for the vending machines.
Therefore, I think that schools should not have vending machines because the school's food is already really delicious and everyone can eat it, and the vending machines would cost the school a lot of money. It would be better for schools to spend that money on actual food, not just sweets and candy.
Well done for putting forward both sides of the argument and then putting your own opinion across : )
