The years 1931-1938

In 1931 , Amy flew from England to Japan and back. The next year , in 1932 she made another long journey. She flew from England to South Africa and back . Both flights were an accomplishment because she broke records and registered the fastest time ever . Between 1933 and 1938 Amy Johnson was very glad that she broke records .

The Second World War

The Second World War began in 1939 . During this period Amy joined the Royal Air Force. Amy flew aeroplanes for Britain . In 1941 there was some terrible news about Amy as she crashed near London and sadly died .

Amy's achievements

Amy had many achievements and one of the greatest achievements was that she became the first woman pilot . She showed many people that not only men can fly planes but also women can . Amy was not only brave and strong but she broke many records . With the help of Amy many people got interested in planes.
