Everyone has a role to play in making the internet

a better place. It's up to us!

This is the theme of this year's Safer Internet Day. With it, the aim is to encourage people to embrace technology and the positive things the internet has to offer, whilst building their resilience, skills, knowledge and support needed to navigate the online risks they may came across.

We can help by being kind

and respectful to others online,

protecting our online reputation and by seeking opportunities to create and share online.

We can help by keeping an open dialogue with our children about their online lives, supporting them and seeking out positive opportunities to engage with our children online

We can help by empowering children

to embrace the positive, equipping them

with the digital literacy skills required in

today's world, and giving them opportunities

to create and to use positive content online.

But we can also help by supporting them

when they encounter problems, and giving

them the resilience, confidence and skills to

navigate the internet safely.
