The Transition to Year 6
Year 6 is that serious year when you about to enter a new stage of life. This can be quite overwhelming at times from my own personal
experience. Being a role model is hard, being the ultra role models (Head Boy/Girl) has a lot of needs as a lot are counting on you to create the best version of them. On top of that, you need to prepare for Your S.A.Ts (Basically your test that evaluates your whole school career) which we gratefully didn't get so HA HA. Well then let's give you a run down of the important roles of YR 6:
Picked by Head teacher and teacher.
Head Boy/Girl-The children who have been picked for important jobs around the school Representing the Children.
Deputy Head Boy/Girl-The children who fill in the duties of the Heads and also do important jobs around the school.
Picked by House members of YR 6.
House Captains-On a Thursday at Lunch Time they go around collecting house points from every class. (Saint Nicholas,Lawrence,Peter and Dunstan)
That's pretty much the Year 6 Roles.
Oh yeah I am missing the standard role. You are part of the highest class in school. The rest of KS2 and KS1 look up to you and that is a lot of eyes. So put on your best behaviour because they can absorb a lot of what you do in front of them. So for the benefit of their peers,do not fight or shout and name call. It makes their classmates life a Hell on Earth.
Other than these it is probably going to be fine.
