The Titanic

The Titanic was the biggest floating object in the world. Building work started in 1909. Four days after the start of the voyage, it received many iceberg warnings . Soon an iceberg was straight ahead . The captain ordered to steer away but it was too late. The ship skimmed the iceberg and there was a huge hole in the side of the hull.The ship split into two and sank. The survivors were saved by ship Carpathia. 1,523 passengers died.
