Venus is actually named after the ancient Roman goddess of love and beauty. It’s the brightest planet in the sky whenviewed from the earth. Venus is the same size as Earth. However, unlike Earthits is not able to sustain any life because it has no atmosphere and very high temperatures.  
Venus is the second planet from the sun. The distance from the sun is about 1-8 million kms. Venus is one of the inner planets, with Mercury, Earth and Mars. All of those four
planets are rocky, solid and relatively dense.

Venus is very similar to Earth in size,mass and density.It’sdiametru is about 12,100 killometres. Scienteset believe that venus might have lasyers that aresimilar to those of Earth: an inner core made of metal, a thick middle layer ofrocks and crust.  
 The surface of venus was greatly shaped by Lava from a lote of erupting volcanoes.Most of the surae consists of gently Rolling plains. There are also sevrall of landareas.

Like all planets Venus has two types of motion,knownas
orbit and spin. Unlike all other planetsin the solar system (Exept Uranas).In
addition venus spins on its axis very very slowly. It acctuallt takes Venus 243
days Earth days to complite one rotation.
 Becouse of Venus’s brightness in the night sky,it hasbeen observed since ancient times. The greatest advanced study of Venus have been made with unmanned spacecraft.Morethan 20 missions have visted the planet. The United Sates National Aeronauticsspace Admsistiration (Nasa) 

launched the Mariner 2 spacecraft in 1962. It became the first spacecraft to fly near another planet when it passed by Venus. In 1967, Mariner 5 flew even closer to Venus. It passed within only about 4,000 kilometres (2,500 miles) of the planet.
