"We cannot afford to buy even a loaf of bread. We have to sell our cow," said mother.

"Okay mother, I will take the cow to the market and sell her," said Jack.

On his way to town, Jack came across a man walking along the road.

" Hello there boy. Are you taking your cow to town to sell?" said the man.

" Yes, sir. Are you interested in buying her?" said Jack.

"Yes, however, I only have these magic beans," said the man.

"Um. Magic beans? ... Well okay," said Jack.

Jack and the man traded. Jack was so excited he ran all the way home.

"Mother! Look what I got for our cow. Magic Beans," said Jack.

"How could you be so foolish? There are no such things as magic beans," said his mother.

He planted the seeds which grew into a tall plant so tall that it reached the clouds.
