It was Christmas day. Mum and dad had a surprise for Katie when she woke up. "Come here, Katie. We've got something for you," said mum. Katie went running down the stairs . When Katie looked in the box there was nothing in there. "There isn't anything in the box," said Katie. Her Mum was shocked .

She looked under the table. "I can't see anything under the table," said mum . Dad looked around and saw the surprise. Look! There's something in the tree," said dad. They got a ladder and got the cat down . The cat was Katie's surprise. She was so happy with her Christmas

gift and she thanked her parents. She played with her everyday after school .
