Louis Pasteur was a French scientist who discovered germs and how they affect people.

He was born in 1822 and he died in 1895

He used experiments and microscopes to look at milk and beer.

He found that germs that make people poorly

could be killed by heating the liquid.

He called this

PASTEURISATION.

He went on to develop vaccinations to protect us from germs.
