Next week we will be learning about our bodies and talking about our families. In maths we will be investigating how many exercises we can do in a minute and Foundation 2 will be taking part in a timed challenge! In cookery we will be making a healthy flapjack bar.

In your child’s wallet this week you will have found a copy of the Nativity play songs. Yes, it’s that time again! For the challenge this week we ask that you sing these with your child and help them to learn the words. Each song has a nursery rhyme tune and these are written on the word sheet. The children have begun to learn the first two songs, ‘Mary’s Song’ and ‘The Song of the Donkey’. Please begin with these two and help your child consolidate what they have learned so far. The children are doing well and we are really looking forward to beginning our Nativity rehearsals next week.

Your child will be told on Monday which part they are playing so please ask them what they will be in the nativity. If your child has a speaking part there will be words to learn in their wallet, please check and if you find some please begin to support your child to learn them.

Note for Foundation 2 parents: Please can you ensure that your child’s Home Study book is returned to school on a Thursday, this allows time for the work to be marked and for the next tasks to be stuck in.

**We still need parental support for our Tuesday cooking session, if you are able to support please speak to Mrs Seickell.
