ENGLISH


Task 1- Watch and read the story of the Hare and the Tortoise on the

powerpoint. Use the pictures to sequence the story in the correct

order. Can you write the story in your own words. Remember a

capital letter to start and a full stop to finish your sentence. Try to

use a question mark and an exclamation mark in your story.


Task 2 - Read the text 'The Hare and the Tortoise' and answer the

questions. Choose your level 1*, 2* or 3*.


Task 3 - Click on the book 'Dear Zoo' and listen to the story. You can

either make your own Dear Zoo book or make up an imaginary animal.

Can you write a description of your animal and make him a cage to go

inside with a lift the flap on.


Task 4 - Click on the poem and listen to 'The Elephant' by Hilaire Belloc

Can you learn the poem and recite it. Try adding some actions and

perform it to your family.


Task 5 - Choose your own animal poem and write it on the Blog

to share with your friends. Tell me why you chose it.



MATHS

Task 1 - Practice counting in 10's forwards and backwards. Now count in

5's to 100. Use your 100 square to help you. Complete pages 15 to 17 in

your Rising Stars Workbook C. Use real coins to help on page 17.


Task 2 - Watch the Powerpoint 'Counting in 2's, 5's and 10's and

count the coins in the jars.

Complete the number sequence worksheets

counting on in 2's,5's and 10's.


Task 3 - Play the Chinese Dragon Game on Topmarks.

This week's focus is counting in 2's s, 5's and 10's and

continuing a pattern/sequence.
