Greg Rutherford was born on 17 November 1986, Greg is a British athlete competes in long jump and sprint. Greg is a British record holder for the long jump he is a 2012 Olympic champion, medal in the 2012 olympics 2010 Commonwealth Games silver medalist and 2006 European Championship silver medallist in the long jump. This year (2014) at the Olympic Training Center Greg jumped a personal best of 8.51 m, setting a new British record. He is the great-grandson of footballer Jock Rutherford, who has won three Football league titles with Newcastle United and is also the oldest player ever who has played for Arsenal. Greg had trials to play for Aston Villa as a teenager before he was an athlete.
