A story about Melody

A 12 year old girl named Melody from Nigeria lost her parents in a car crash. She was sent to her grandmother and then her grandmother sent her to England, where she met her mums really mean friend. The woman made her clean all day and if she didn't make one tiny bit sparkly she would do it all over again and she would pull her hair.

Then a man raided the house while the mean lady was gone. Melody was kicked out of the house then she lived on the street. Then she found The Refugee Council who saved her life and helped her.

A story about Ahmed - 2011

Ahmed came from Iraqi. Ahmed had to leave Iraqi because of the war with America. At one moment Ahmed's house got destroyed by a rocket so they moved to there uncle's, then some Americans killed his father and uncle and tryed to kill his brother's. They went to Syria. Their house was smaller in Syria than it was in Iraqi. There is a war in Syria now so I wonder where they are now?

A story about Faisal

Faisal fled Afghanistan at the age of 15, he went to England by truck it took 3 months to get to England when he got to England the police spotted him and put him into the detention room for 32 days when he got out of the he thought he was going to Afghanistan, but he was going in the safe hands with the refugee council.

Roman Migration

*The Romans spoke vulgar Latin.

*The Empire covered much of Europe, north Africa and Middle.

*Their homes in Italy were being raided needed all

soldiers, that's why they left Britain.

*The Romans called London Londinium.

Migration

Migration is when a person or people move from one country to another.

Currently there is a civil war in Syria. Syrian people have fled Syria in search of a safer place to live. 3.5 million refugees have settled into other countries.

In other news people escaping via North Africa have died trying to reach Italy by boat.

Where were you born? Jamaica

When did you come to live in England? In the 1960's.

Why did you come to live in England? My parents moved here for a better life.

Why did you come to Camden? I met my friend in college who lived here and I found it nice.

Why did you like Camden? The people were very colourful and creative.

Where did you live before you came to Camden? I lived in Middlesex.

What do you miss about Jamaica? I don't remember what it was like.
