How the rabbit got long ears

Once there was a cute grey and white rabbit. It had short ears and blue eyes. It always loved playing and teasing with the cat’s and dog’s tails. Although they always got hurt, the rabbit always ignored their feeling.

It was a wonderful crystal clear day. The cat and the dog met in the public garden as usual. Meanwhile, the keen rabbit was hiding behind the tree trunk, under the tree waiting the right time to tease them again. It didn’t realise that they were discussing on what they were going to do to stop the rabbit from hurting them again. Eventually, the cat came out with a brilliant plan.  They decided to pull the rabbit’s ears as a revenge.

The next morning, the rabbit woke up at the crack of dawn as usually. It was very hungry.  While the rabbit was eating the fresh green grass, the cat and the dog approached it on tiptoes from behind and caught the rabbit from both ears. They pulled its ears so hard that it got stuck and couldn’t run away from them. It cried its eyes out. He was hurting so much that it felt dizzy and ended up unconscious. The cat and the dog couldn’t stop making fun of the rabbit.

After a long time, the rabbit woke up and it noticed its ears got longer. It was very disappointed. From that day on, the rabbit learnt a lesson not to tease and bother anyone else.
