A Picnic Adventure

Dear Zoey

How are you? I hope you are doing great just like I am. We have been having some very nice and warm weather lately and I would like to tell you about a recent picnic I went to with my family.

We set off early to Mako island, a very small island which is situated near our place. The boat trip was uneventful and soon we were looking for a nice spot where we could have our picnic. Dad found us a clean place in the shade and the adults laid a blanket on the ground and put all the food there. We had a big lunch and after a few minutes relaxing with my friends Layla and Chloe, I got bored so we decided to venture around a little bit.

We were walking not too far from where our family was, when all of a sudden we fell into a big hole in the ground. After tumbling down for a few seconds, we found ourselves at the entrance of an underground cave. It was dark but we could see a small pool of water inside. It was magical. We played in the cave for a while and we heard my dad calling us. We climbed back up and told the others what we had found.

It was a beautiful day and we enjoyed discovering the cave in the ground. I can't wait to go again. Hopefully, when you come to visit, I would take you to this magical place. Take care and write soon.
