Food Chain

The Sun is the primary energy source for life in our planet.

A food chain shows how living things get food. A food chain shows how energy is passed from one living thing to another. It shows how plants, animals and humans rely on each other for food.

The arrows in a food chain shows how energy is transferred from one living thing to another.

Producers - Plants are called producers because they make their own food. They are the start of a food chain. Plants get their energy from the sun.
