Transition To Year 6

Transitioning to Year 6 can sometimes be very hard and sad because it is more challenging and you will be leaving for Year 7, however, many fun things are also there. It will be enjoyable no matter how much you have to learn.

Remember, Year 6 is the oldest in the whole school and you must be very sensible, responsible and matured. You all will be the role model for the younger year groups and you have to teach them how to behave in school. If you are not behaving appropriately, the others will copy you and then you will be the reason for them to not be sensible.

Special Duties:

Coming to special duties and responsibilities, there is Head boy/girl, Deputy Head boy/girl and House Captains. If you are not one of these, you might have jobs to do within the classroom. For that, you will have to apply.

Exciting Things:

Also, very exciting and gorgeous things like residential trips and production: the residential trips will be 'The Isle Of Wight', which you might go if there is no terrible covid. The production is a play done by the whole of Year 6, where parents and other children will watch. Plus, next year if covid is reduced, SATs might be happening as well.

End Of The Year:

At the end of the year, you will be having a party as you will be leaving to High School. In addition to this, there will be a special Leavers Service at the Cathedral, which is when you will be going to the 'Southwark Diocese'.

I hope you will be excited to come to Year 6 in September.

Have a good day,

Thavarnika
