Writing about Amy Johnson


The years 1931-1938


 In 1931,Amy flew from England to Japan

and back. The next year in 1932,she made another long journey. She flew from

England to South Africa and back. In both flights she registered the fastest time ever and broke records. Between 1933 and 1938 Amy Johnson made many more

flights and she also broke many more records.


The second world war.


The second world war began in 1939. During this period she joined the Royal Air Force and a result of this she flew airplanes for Britain. Sadly, in the year 1941 she crashed near London and she died.


Amy’s achievements


She was the first woman pilot. She showed people that a woman was able to fly. In fact Amy Johnson was a very brave woman. She was also very successful and broke many records. She made people interested in planes.
