Galileo Galilei
He was born in 1564 in Pisa, Tuscany. His family moved to Florence. He started to study Medicine but changed to study Philosophy and Maths. He became a University Professor. He studied motion and gravity. Galileo invented a better version of the telescope and started to study deeper the Universe. He observed that the moon's surface was rough and filled with craters. He discovered that the sun had spots on it and the Earth and other planets revolve around the sun and not the other way round. He believed that it is important to speak up the truth. Today he is viewed as a great scientist who made huge discoveries about the Solar System.
