A mandala is a symbol in Hinduism and Buddhism, representing the universe. The circular designs symbolize the idea that life is never ending and everything is connected. 

Mandalas became an art therapy and are the portal to the human mind. Mandala Art is considered both spiritual and symbolic. While the circle in the center of a mandala is considered the main focus, the shapes, design, colours and symbols reflect the inner feelings of the person who is making it.
