Last week hopefully you were able to make lots of notes about your chosen 5 minibeasts. Now is the really fun part! You are going to produce your very own minibeast book! Think carefully about what you want your book to look like. Take lots of care with it and perhaps do a little bit each day so that you end up with something that you are really proud of.

TASK: Use your notes to construct carefully written sentences about each of your minibeasts. Each section needs a sub-heading ( Name of minibeast) Then underneath write some sentences about your minibeast. You can type your sentences or write them neatly up.
Use the checklist to remember what features that you need your information writing to have.
TASK: Design and create your front cover. Don't forget to add your name on the front because you are the author and illustrator!

TASK: For each minibeast you will need to add some
pictures. (Art activity below)
TASK: Share your book with someone and send some
photos to me.

ART

TASK: Google how to draw minibeasts. there are some brilliant tutorials showing you how to draw them step by step.
TASK: Once you have practised produce drawings for your own minibeast book.
TASK: Complete Mrs Mackie's Art Project for All blog.

This week we will be exploring seashore habitats.....

TASK: Click on the picture of the starfish to 
learn more about rockpool microhabitats which you might find at the seashore.
TASK:See if you can do a little research and
find out what plants and animals can be found
on the seashore.
TASK: Design your own seashore habitat which
has:
2 plants, 3 animals and 2 microhabitats.

CHALLENGE: Write a description of your
seashore........

difference between human features (man made eg boats) and physical features ( natural eg trees)

Task: Watch the clip below and follow Sophie and Harry's 
journey on a canal boat. Write about and draw the different human and physical features that they come across on their journey.

TASK: Learn to spell the homophones. Say ( or write) each of them in a sentence to make sure that you are using them correctly.
