Dear Honey,

Its been days before i wrote to you. I would like to inform u about the horrible, scary couple of days in london.

Last night, I heard the loud warning alarm with short brakes after 4 beats. At first i thaught it was a practice but i saw the metalic birds (German planes) coming i knew i had to go to the cellar as fast as i could. The excited bombes with red timers on it bommed Mrs Kormels house, our neibrough.

The next horrible, scary morn', i came out of the crammped cellar to see that the red and angry sky was hovering over the semi-illuminated streets. The flats in front of our house had been burning all night. By 6:00 they put the fire out. Lukily our house didn't get bombed so i went to make dinner.

This was the very first day of the blitz. I am over-joyed that you are in Devan i will right to you tomorrow.
