RAINFOREST

Tropical rainforest occurs in warm moist areas near to the equator. The largest rainforest is in the Amazon South America.

There is lots of wildlife due to it being very warm and wet. Plants grow all year round due to lots of sunlight and rain. There are lots of different animals, insects, snakes, lizards lots of different birds parrots, owls, toucans, monkeys and spiders. The rainforest has the most species of animal and plant on Earth.

A lot of the worlds rainforest is being destroyed and cleared for wood, paper and farmland. Many animals and plants may become extinct which means they will never come back.
