Charlie Bucket is a young boy who lives with his four grandparents and his parents in a tiny house where the grandparents stay in bed.(Grandpa Joe, Grandma Josephine, Grandpa George and Grandma Georgina.) Charlie and his family aren't the most fortunate people in the country even though they manage to live their lives happily.

Charlie is 10 years old and goes to a terrible school where he gets bullied. He adores chocolate but is miserably poor; he loves the smell of the chocolate factory but is dying to go in and see what's inside! Charlie walks past the marvellous factory everyday wondering when the gates will ever open...open...

Furthermore, Charlie is a boy that has short brown hair: dark brown eyes, a very tiny nose and small thin lips. Charlie usually wears a t-shirt as thin as paper and a comfortable jumper over his shirt. His trousers are sheer but keep him as warm as possible during winter months.

During his life so far, he learnt that Grandpa Joe used to work in the place he had only dreamed to go in. Charlie wished that Willy Wonka would open the factory again because it was all a wonder of what ws inside and who worked there to make all of Wonka's magnificent chocolate.

Later in the year Wonka decided to give out ONLY 5 golden tickets for 5 people to win a chance to enter his factory for one day but all day. The Golden Ticket read ...

Charlie always asked to win a Golden Ticket because he needed he food for not only himself but also his family; after about a month since Willy Wonka gave out the Tickets , Charlie won a Ticket! He was ESTACTIC! soon enough,he was in the factory!
