Should schools have vending machines
I strongly believe that schools should not have vending machines
since the money used for them could be stolen from children.
Also I do not think they should be used as substitute for a
proper healthy lunch. Many children do
not have enough money so having a vending machine for children who had more
money than others would be unfair.
It could become a source of bullying--, mockery and even
physical hurt. It could make the
children who can’t afford it unhappy and put pressure on their parents to give
them money.
They should definitely not be filled with sugary snacks and
it is not a good use of staff time to be filling up the vending machines.
The school needs to provide lunches for those who don’t have
the time to make a packed lunch for their child.
But everyone has an opinion and may not agree with me. I would love to find out yours.
