A Mammoth is an extinct animal that looked a lot like an elephant covered with hair. Before Mammoths got extinct in the ice age the Mammoth liked to eat tundra grasses. Mammoths are also known as extinct relatives of today's elephants. Some people think that the reason for Mammoth extinction is because of global warming. When Mammoths lived they had useful body parts like their trunk. Mammoths were herbivores, so people or any living thing did not have to get scared every time they got across one.
