Fractions: Fractions are fragments of a shape or number.

Denominator: The denominator is the bottom number of the fraction.

Numerator: The numerator is the top number of a fraction.

And to remember the numerator and the denominator, Ned

on a donkey you can't have a donkey on Ned just like you

can't have the denominator on the numerator! :D

You can also simplify fractions: so if you had 50/100 then you can divide it by 10 (remember: what ever you do to one side you have to do to the other) to get

5/10 then you divide it by 4 to get 1/2. So basically all you need to do is try and

find the smallest fraction possible.
