SHADOW

What is shadow ?

Shadows are made by blocking light. Light rays travel from a

source in straight lines. If an opaque object get in the way, it

stops light rays from travelling through it. This results in an area

of darkness appearing behind the object.

The dark area is called a shadow.

• First I closed the blinds to get darkness.
• Then I used a torch light and a puppet to create a shadow.
• I put the puppet next to the wall and I turned on the torch and the shadow of the puppet was formed on the wall.
