Story Starter

Will was desperately trying not to think of what he was writing; just of doing the job. Jerry Took, the prime minister at the time was taking over the city - and not in a good way. Ever since he had been elected he had become extremely greedy and had forgotten all the promises he had made. The city, Margaritaville that is, was dying quickly, and Jerry Took was putting all his men in the position of not letting anybody out their homes... nobody knew why. Nobody but Will.

Will knew, and I won't go into how he got the information, but he knew, that the prime minister was actually working for another anonymous country. He also knew that country was planning attack when everybody was trapped in their homes. And so, Will had taken it upon himself to come up with an ingenious plan: it was to write hundreds of times, in huge, bold letters, the message of what he knew. Will did not much mind the fact that he would not survive this: it was the existence of Margaritaville that mattered more.

It was mid-afternoon when at last the message was ready, rolled up, and Will was making his way to the roof of his home where he would hang the message. You may be thinking how everybody was going to see it. Well, it was because Margaritaville has a very particular lay out: all the houses are in one giant loop, hence the reason the plan would work.

It did. Unfortunately, as expected, Will didn't make it. However, Margaritaville was saved, and Will died a hero.

Sentence Challenge

Two examples highlighted.

Sick Sentences

Will wrote quickly and carefully on the paper. The bold, black, letters were huge. The smooth parchment was just as colossal. Will admired writing greatly.

Question Time

Will is just an ordinary bloke. I think he enjoys writing so much as he has a city to save.

He's an average size and I don't think he's writing a book.

'He had an important job to do' means that he must focus on what he's doing or something bad will happen. He's writing to save his city. He's writing for his city's existence.

I think it's clear, bold writing.

I think more writing tolls are in the box in case he runs out.

The room Will is in might contain nothing but the piece of parchment he is writing on.
