The Blitz was the frequent bombing by Germany on parts of Britain.It started in 1940 and ended in 1941.

During the Blitz 32,000 poeple were killed ; 87,000 were seriously injured.

How they stayed safe?

There was these shelters which were called morrison and anderson shelters.They made the morrison

shelters out of like cage stuff[IN SIDE]and they made the anderson shelters out of steel and was covered in soil on top[outside].They stay inside these shelters until the warning alarm goes off to say it is all clear.

What type of BOMBS were dropped?

There was different bombs that there dropped such as oil,H.E,Incendiary and fire bombs.
