SCARLET AND IVY THE LOST TWIN

This book is about two mirror twins Scarlet and Ivy. Scarlet

is confident and always gets into trouble, whilst Ivy behaves and does what she

is told. Their mum died when they were little, so now they have to put up with

a mean stepmother and two irritating step brothers. The two girls take a test to

get into a boarding school named Rookwood. Scarlet gets in, but Ivy doesn't, so

she goes off to live with her aunt Phoebe.

Ivy misses her sister very much, but then one day something

happens to Scarlet. The head teacher of Rookwood, Mrs Fox, arrives at Ivy's

house and explains that Scarlet has died and that Ivy must take her place. But

she means more than just that...Ivy is devastated, but her stepmother and father don't seem

to care. Mrs Fox tells Ivy to pack straight away to go to Rookwood. When they

arrive, Mrs Fox tells Ivy that she must pretend to be Scarlet and that she had

been off sick. Ivy is astonished, but does what she is told.

She finds out that Scarlet had made lots of enemies and no

friends. She also discovers what Scarlet did to Penny, now one of her enemies.

She broke the school's piano and framed Penny by dropping her bow on the broken

piano to get back at her.

Luckily, there is a new girl, named Ariadne, who seems very

happy to have made friends with Ivy, but Ivy must continue lying about who she

is. After a few days at Rookwood, Ivy starts getting into Scarlet's personality

and finds out a true mystery where she needs to gather up clues. Scarlet has

been leaving pages of her diary around the school with clues and riddles on

them hoping that only Ivy finds them. Ivy needs help though, so she decides to

tell Ariadne everything and reveal who she really is. She expects Ariadne to be

angry for keeping a secret and not telling her, but she is happy and keen to

help.
