Monday 30th March 2020
Happy Monday, everyone!
I wanted to start by giving a special mention to Lavinia and Isaac for their work last week. My last tally was on Friday last week at 3 pm. and they were neck and neck for the most published posts. They are doing their best to complete every assignment. However, they are not only completing the assignments, but they are putting effort into their work. They are paying close attention to both SPAG and content, so I wanted to announce how proud I am of both of you publicly! There are a few others that I notice have been putting in much effort and have turned in nearly every assignment. You know who you are, and I hope you keep up the good work!
Literacy this week:
- The daily Pobble assignment- Please go to today's date March 30th and submit at least one but you can submit all 5 assignments on the page via a blog.
- There will be a First News Comprehension Assignments this week that I will post in a separate blog. Remember to look at the bottom right-hand corner to turn the page and see the questions. I will be posting the answers on Friday at 3pm so that you can then go back to your blog and score yourself.
- A page a day of your Grammar CGP book.
- Please send in a summary of what you have read so far. You should be reading four or more chapters per day of your book.
- It would be a great idea to keep a diary of this time. Write about what you are doing, what your parents are doing, how you are feeling about different things (remember Pedru? :)). A world-wide shut down is not something that happens regularly, so your thoughts and feelings could become part of history one day!
Maths this week:
- Mathletics - Multiply and Dividing Fractions to be completed by Friday 3rd of April
- Your CGP book- Try to do a page a day
You will not be able to post the White Rose activities to me, but if you have finished all your Mathletics for the week it would be good to challenge yourselves with more activities.
RE this week:
- I will be creating a separate post for instructions on how to complete your RE assignment. It will be based around the subject of meditation.
Science this week:
- I will be creating a separate post for instructions on how to complete your report on Staying Healthy. This will be a review of what we did earlier this year.
Please also be sure to keep up with your physical activities either with Mr. Cleary or Joe Wick on Youtube.
If you have any questions please comment on this post, and please look out for the instruction posts for RE, SCIENCE and READING.
Missing you all,
Ms. Dawson
