My letter of Advice to Liam Digby

by Tom

Dear Liam,

I have recently heard that you might be going to space on Dr Drax's rocket. I have also heard of your ability to navigate the Penultima with ease, even when under attack from programmed asteroids and meteorites. I believe that you should choose to go to space as no other father has your skills at navigating the rocket and your unmatched gaming and decision making skills. If another father went on board the spacecraft (more specifically the Dandelion) they could make a poor decision that could be lethal.

You are also very optimistic, understanding of the children (as you are one and know how they feel) and you always have a good view of any situation. These are incredibly important for any taikonaut, astronaut or cosmonaut. You even have the trust of the other children, the most important skill of all. If Monsieur Martinet went on the rocket, he would be bossy and the children would question his authority. If Samson One went on the Dandelion, he would overload them with information and try and let his son prove his intellect, which could turn catastrophic.

Finally, Eddie Xanadu would not know how to control anything at all and that would be the end. So surely you'll see my point in saying that you should be the one to board the rocket and no one else. Thank you for reading this.
