The Hobbit
Dear diary,
I have had the best of luck! I've made some wonderful 'friends'. I put friends in inverted commas because they mean so much to me. They are more precious than all the gems in the galaxy and worth much more than the best gold in the world. I invited them for tea yesterday and made the mistake of thinking I was a burgular. I guess I was a mini bit offended but I don't mind.
My village here is perfect but I need a small group of Hobbits to like my friends. They told me on their way here (to the Shire) everyone hated them! They apparently, wrinkled their noses in disgust and didn't welcome them. I'm sure it's because Hobbits are not used to newcomers.
There's been on thing on my mind over all that. I've been asked to venture with my friends on a quest. I've never been on one of those before so that's why I'm keen to go with them.
What could go wrong? That's what everyone says but everything can, actually. I've heard a little about these quests. They can seem as if everything is going fine. Then the danger. Danger always has baddies, traps and bad decisions. I shall think twice before going. Otherwise I can land in bigger danger.
