TASK: Look at the minibeast powerpoint from last week

(in documents section) Read the information again and make

notes about the minibeasts you have chosen. Write yourself sub-headings and put the notes underneath.

TASK: Find out more about your chosen minibeast online or in books. Add as many notes as you can about the different minibeasts that you have chosen. Getepic has lots of information books about different minibeasts.

This week is all about collecting information about minibeasts. At school, we practised reading information and writing down key facts (NOTES - NOT WHOLE SENTENCES). This week is all about making notes. If you have a little notebook you might want to use it for collecting your 
information about minibeasts..... This week you are detectives looking for clues ...........

Remember that multiplication and division are the opposite of each other (INVERSE) Once you know your tables, division is easy...It is really important to keep practising your tables (x2, x5, 10 first) and then the related division facts.

TASK: Complete the number card activity.

TASK: Can you chat to someone or think about a time when you have fallen out with a friend. How did you feel? What were you thinking? How did you mend the friendship because even best friends can fall out.
TASK: Produce a poster with your top tips for mending a friendship eg) being positive, agreeing to move forward,
understanding the other person's point of view...

SPELLING

On the pupil section of our school website - click on year 2 summer home learning. You will find a common exception word document in week one and two. We will move on to spelling patterns next week so let's secure these common exception words.....

TASK: Continue to learn any of these common exception words that you don't
yet know. Make a poster with these words and see if someone can test you.
TASK: Complete a proof reading activity which can be found within the same
document.

Task: Have a go at some of the activities on REAL Play. 
 Your parents have been emailed the details to login but 
ask they can email me again for them.

ART

TASK: Practise being a photographer and taking some great photos of minibeasts in the environment. You will need to ask permission to use your chosen device. Send your photos to me if you can.
TASK:Use your photos or observations to draw careful pictures of your minibeast. You might like to produce a minibeast painting.
