PAWS, CLAWS AND WHISKERS
This week's theme is Animals.
Task 1 - Choose your favourite animal and research it. Write some
sentences to tell me about your animal. Can you write me an
interesting fact starting with 'Did you know that...? Draw a picture
of your chosen animal to illustrste your work.
Task 2 - Read the text about Tigers. Answer the questions using
full sentences where you can.
Task 3 - Read the story of 'The Lion and the Mouse' using the
powerpoint. Can you use the pictures on the storyboard to retell the
story in your own words. Don't forget to use capital letters to start
your sentences and a full stop to end or a question mark.
Task 4 - Draw the picture of the lion holding the mouse and draw
your own speech bubble. Can you write inside what you think the
mouse is saying to the lion. Next draw the lion in the net and a
speech bubble and write inside what you think the lion is saying
to the mouse.
Task 5 - Choose an animal story of your choice and
write a book review.
Task 6 - Can you write the name of an animal for each letter of
the alphabet. use your phonics to help you or if you have a
dictionary look up the spelling.

MATHS
Task 1 - Make a clock using the template. Practise putting
your clock on o'clock times. Now watch the powerpoint
telling the time - half past. Ask an adult to give you some
times to set your clock.
This week I would like you to focus on telling the time (o'clock and half past times) and place value work.
