TASK: Find the story 'Six Dinner Sid' by Inga Moore on youtube and listen to the story. (There are a few videos of people reading the story to choose from) What is Sid like? What sort of cat is he? What does he look like? How does he behave? Draw a picture of Sid and around the picture write words/phrases to describe him. eg a fat, greedy cat
TASK: Use your ideas to write a detailed description of Sid. Think about what he looks like and how he behaves and include this in your description. Remember your capital letters and full stops. Join your ideas with different conjunctions eg, so, but, if, when, because
TASK: Complete the CAT COMPREHENSION in the documents section which is about looking after a cat. Three levels of difficulty. *, **, ***
TASK: Read the information about 'LOOKING AFTER YOUR DOG' for ideas about how to do your next task.
TASK: Produce a similar poster about how to look after a cat. Use information from the comprehension but see if you can add to this information, with what you might know already or from researching information on looking after cats.
TASK: Look at the powerpoint on DIFFERENT TYPES OF SENTENCES. We did some work on this in school. See if you can find some examples of each types of sentence in your reading book and write then down. Remember exclamation sentences are tricky because they have to start with 'what' or 'how' but can't be questions eg What big teeth you have!
