Mother Teresa

Mother Teresa is a very kind woman. She was born in 1910 and lived in Serbia. Her real name was Agnes

Bojaxhiu she always helped her parents at home. Mother Teresa always wanted to help other

people as well.

When she grew up she went to live in Calcutta, India.

Calcutta was full of poor people. Mother Teresa went to help the poor people and she even built her own hospital there for the poor. People called her Mother Teresa. She worked in hospital and schools. She was like a mother to the people.

Mother Teresa spent her whole life helping other people. In 1979 she received a special prize for her good work and gave all her money to the poor people. Mother Teresa was very famous and she died in 1997.
