2) If anyone in a household develops a cough or temperature, they should stay at home for 14 days.

3) I think the word urged means 'strongly advised'.

5) Two examples of language that make our efforts to curb the coronavirus seem like a battle are...

1) It's spread around the world

2) Countries across the globe are at war with it.

6) I would tell my grandad to stay home for 12 weeks and shield himself from others, as his age group is most at risk of dying from the illness.

7a) A ventilator is a machine that helps ill people to breathe by pushing air into their lungs.

7b)

How they are helping

Factories

Trying to use their machines to make ventilators instead of their usual products.

A 3D printing company

Designed and printed 100 ventilator valves in 24 hours.

8) The brilliant idea William Gibson came up with was a website that matches song lyrics to a 13-step hand washing routine.

9) Maybe Williams idea will help in the fight against the virus, if people follow the rules on washing their hands.

10a) I do not have any worries or questions with regard to the coronavirus. So far my mum and dad are very open and honest with me and I know if I have any concerns, I can discuss this with them.
