Mixing Colours
The children mixed blue and
yellow paint to print green
handprints for our Rainbow on
the colour display board.
There was lots of exploring and experimenting with mixing the colours and using the different brushes and rollers to create different patterns. I think there was more paint on the children than the paper!
For snack we had cereal we practised
using spoons. The children did
very well!
We were all fascinated by the
skittle experiment. We watched the colours
run in the water and make a colourful wheel!
The children enjoyed baking some leaf biscuits. The children then mixed yellow and blue food colouring into some icing to make the green icing to decorate the leaves. They looked delicious!
We needed purple handprints
for the rainbow so the children mixed
red and blue paint together on their
hands to print the purple handprints.
