On the 9th of February 2015, 4 blue went on a trip to the Royal Courts of Justice.

We travelled to the courts by bus, which took 45 minutes to get there but the journey was really worth it.

When we got to the courts, the guide took the class around the courts, which had over a thousand room. We didnt see all of the rooms, as some of the rooms had cases in the courts.

We got to room 69 and this is where we started an old court case. I was chosen by the Jenny (my teacher) and Sharon to play the role of the judge. The guide gave me an old judges cloak and wig. The case was about a boy (played by Jodie) who was accused of steeling things from a house. Frankie and Cole played the role of the boys solicitors. They were in charge of asking Jodie to tell the truth and to also tell Jodie what was happening.

The class had to ask the boy (Jodie) questions to see if she was guilty or not. The solicitors and the judge (me) had to decide if he was guilty and we thought she was, so she went to jail for a year. Here are some of the punishments he had to do.

Clean the ropes which gave you burnt splinters on your hands.

Dig till you find something valuable.

My favourite part of the trip was playing the judge. I had a good day.
